Design Responsibly began after years of experience in observing how the design and print community interact with eachother led to action. Printers expressing aggravation over missing fonts, RGB images, missing bleeds, low-resolution images, and other assorted print-related design issues. Designers expressing grief over print jobs costing more than quoted, of having to constantly recreate files to printer's seemingly incomprehensible instructions, and struggling with constant technical and software confusion.

Mordy Golding, founder of Design Responsibly, has played an active role in the design and publishing environment since 1990. A production artist for both print and the web for many years. Mordy, an Adobe Certified Expert and Adobe Certified Print Specialist, has served as a hands-on trainer and has spoken at worldwide events and seminars including Macworld, Seybold, NAB, and PhotoshopWorld.

Books written by Mordy Golding include Real World Illustrator CS2, SAMS Teach Yourself Adobe Creative Suite 2 All in One, The Web Designer’s Guide to Color and SAMS Teach Yourself Adobe Illustrator in 24 Hours. Mordy has also worked on numerous other publications including Adobe Illustrator CS Creative Studio, The Illustrator Wow! Book, Adobe’s Classroom in a Book series, The Illustrator Bible and Real World Illustrator. Mordy has also recorded The Complete Guide to Illustrator CS on DVD (Software-Cinema) and Adobe Creative Suite Integration and Version Cue (Lynda.com). Mordy worked at Adobe as the product manager for Adobe Illustrator 10 and Adobe Illustrator CS, and in October of 2003, Mordy was named a Champion of Graphic Design by Graphics IQ.
